Description

An album containing 51gelatin silver photographs of views of Mexico City and Chapultepec, including 2 double-panel panoramas, 50 signed and numbered by the photographer in the negative, mounted on hand-ruled heavy cream board album leaves numbered in ink and with interleaving tissue, inscribed 'Herrn Max Diener in Pforzheim in Dankbarkeit gewidmet. Mexico, Sept. 1904 Wilh. Kahlo (Dedicated in gratitude to Mr. Max Diener in Pforzheim. Mexico, Sept. 1904 Wilh. Kahlo)' and with indices of the photographs in Spanish and German, possibly by the photographer, in ink, 1904. Oblong mammoth folio, 1/3 red morocco, gilt-stamped buckram with hand-tooled red morocco tips, the spine gilt-stamped 'Mexico & Chapultepec' and '1904'
