Conditions of Sale

The lots listed in this catalog will be offered by Stephenson's Auction as agent for the consignor subject to the following terms and conditions. By bidding at auction you agree to be bound by these Conditions of Sale.

Stephenson's Auction has the right, at our discretion to refuse participation in any auction and to reject any bid.

When making a bid, a bidder is accepting personal liability to pay the purchase price including the Buyer's Premium, all applicable taxes and all other applicable charges, unless it has been agreed upon in writing with Stephenson's Auction prior to the auction.

Some lots in the sale are subject to a reserve which is the confidential minimum price below which such lot will not be sold. The reserve will not exceed the low estimate of the lot. The auctioneer may open the bidding on any lot below the reserve by placing a bid on behalf of the seller. The auctioneer may continue to bid on behalf of the seller up to the amount of the reserve. Some lots in the sale will be sold with no reserve.


Please Note: All items are being sold as is and all sales are final. If any dispute arises after the auction sale, our sale record is conclusive.

Condition Report: Prospective buyers can request a more detailed examination and/or clarification of the condition report. Any condition statement is given as a courtesy, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact, nor regarded as a warranty or guarantee.
Stephenson's Auction is not responsible for any error or omission. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or is free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.

ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR INVOICE, PLEASE MAKE PAYMENT. THEN CHOOSE A SHIPPER AND CONTACT US WITH A RELEASE.


Once liability of item has been transferred to shipper, the buyer and the shipping company are responsible for handling claims of damage that may occur. Such damage is not grounds for a refund by Stephenson's Auction. When applicable, any arrangements regarding the granting of licensing for export and/or import of items is the responsibility of the buyer.


All pick-ups or shipping arrangements should take place at time of payment, and completed within 10 days.

Items must be removed from premises by June 1st, 2020. After that items will be put in storage and a storage fee of $5 per day per item will be charged unless prior arrangements have been made with Stephenson's Auction.

Any items with no arrangements for shipping completed within the requested time frame will begin to have a storage fee of $5 per item, per day assessed and added on to the bill.



BIDDING:Internet bidding (both live and absentee), Left Bid and Phone Bid services are available. These bids are executed to the best of ability by a designated Stephenson's Auction employee and/or via Invaluable/AuctionZip with information provided to us via computer. This is a convenience to clients and we are not responsible for any errors or omissions in connection therewith - as our firm does not control the transmission speed used by or have previous knowledge of bid increments left by registered Invaluable/AuctionZip users.

Payment is to be made to Stephenson's Auction within 7 days of date of auction.
Payment is by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or PayPal.
There is a 3% fee for the use of international credit cards.

The auctioneer has sole and final discretion in any dispute. Stephenson's Auction reserves the right to withdraw any item from the auction before the sale for any reason.

Payment

Payment is required within 7 days of auction. We accept PayPal. Our PayPal account is info@stephensonsauction.com We can also accept VISA/MASTERCARD/Discover payments over the phone. Please contact us for international Visa/Mastercard payments. Payment is available online through Invaluable and bidder cards may be charged 4 - 7 days after an invoice has been sent. The payment processing fee will be charged to you the customer. Non-Payment: If we do not receive payment in full, in good cleared funds within seven (7) business days following the sale, we will impose a late fee of one and a half percent (1.5%) of the total purchase price per thirty (30) days from the sale, or to cancel the sale.
