NOTE

A fine image of a pensive Santa preparing to go down a chimney, with raindeer patiently waiting and a starry night sky overhead. This illoustration appears as a full page color plate in a 2003 edition of L. Frank Baum's The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, published by Henry Holt. The caption in the book reads, "Claus thought that none of the children would ever know where the toys came from which they found by their bedsides when they wakened the following morning."

The drawing is accompanied by a copy of the book.
