The mount is annotated in pencil 'Murray Hill P', presumably a reference to the fact that after the war Kathleen Hale's books were published alternately by Country Life and Harlequin, the paperback imprint of John Murray, also edited by Noel Carrington. Six titles were issued by John Murray between 1950 and 1972.
