Strack Anton Wilhelm, Haina 1758 - Bückeburg 1829, Hameln, Ca. 1800, handcoloured etching, 28,5 x 46,5 cm, lo. middle on the mount inscribed 'Gegend des Fort George und der Schleuse von Hameln gegen Mittag', framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - German painter a. graphic artist from a family of artists. S. was pupil of his uncle A. W. Tischbein in Hanau, of J. H. Tischein in Kassel as well as of Quaglio in Mannheim. Since 1782 he was professor for drawing at the military school in Bückeburg. - Lit.: Thieme-Becker.
