woodcut, 1511, watermark Gothic P with Imperial Orb in a Shield above (similar to Piccard 301, dated 1506), a good though possibly slightly later impression of this rare woodcut, showing a few wormholes in the block, printed in brownish black, trimmed to or on the borderline, a skilfully repaired vertical tear along the tree trunk above, some minor soiling, the sheet very thinly backed, otherwise in good condition
