Notes

Deva was built in 1873 by Thomas Royden & Sons for J.B, Walmsley of Liverpool. Built of iron, she registered 806 tons gross and 761 tons net on measurements of 187.2 x 31.7 x 19.8 feet. Her official number was 69288. Originally a full-rigged ship, her rig was modified in 1880 after having been sold to William Just & Co., also of Liverpool. She is shown with her identification hoist (NSDT) on the mizzen. In 1898, Deva was sold to Italian owners and renamed Checco. She ended her seafaring career as a hulk in 1915.
