HARRY EVERETT TOWNSEND (American, 1879-1941) GIRL READING ON A SOFA. Oil on canvas scene shows a woman stretched out on a Victorian sofa reading a book. The interior scene has a grand piano, pictures on the wall and a yellow radiator. Housed in a gilt fancy replacement frame. On back of stretcher is a clipped artist signature and accompanying is a signed typed letter from Walt Reed of Illustration House dated 1980 verifying the work as being done by Harry Everett Townsend.
