Early 20th century
Kakejiku, sanpukutsui (a complete triptych), each painted in ink and slight colour on paper; the right scroll depicting swallows flying above rice fields, signed with seal Gaho; the centre with three swimming carp, one ascending the waterfall, signed Gaho with seal Gaho; the left depicting a sudden Summer downpour, signed with seal Gaho; with double wood storage boxes, the cover of which is titled, dated and authenticated by Hashimoto Shuho, the third son of the artist, Showa jugo-nen shi-gatsu kakan, Shuho kan (the end of April, Showa 15 [1940], authenticated by Shuho) with seal. Each 111cm x 40cm (43¾in x 15¾). (7).

The triptych is accompanied with two certificates of authentication, one by Hashimoto Shuho (1881-1947) dated Showa 17 (1942); the other issued by Nihon Bijutsu Kurabu Kantei Iinkai (The Authentication Committee, Japan Art Club) dated Heisei 2 (1990).
