The lining is adhered with wax and encapsulates a solid support (possibly aluminum?). There are four moderately sized (none more than 2 inches) areas of retouch to the upper background. There is additional retouch along much of the upper edge of the work, plus additional dots and dashes of retouch elsewhere.
