NOTE

Made while the artist was living in New York, Mangue Bangue was designed as a poster to accompany the film of the same title by noted experimental Brazilian filmmaker Neville D'Almeida. The two artists were frequent collaborators on a number of projects, including Oiticica's breakthrough series of multimedia environmental installations titled Cosmococas also created during these years.
