SIGNED AND DATED (MAKER'S MARKS) signed and dated 1866 MATERIAL/MEDIUM oil on panel PUBLISHED CONDITION NOTE A 2 1/2 inch long vertical, hairline crack in panel at the upper edge; the paint surface is in good condition. Under ultraviolet light: selective cleaning on the figures' upper bodies, the dog and the floor; inpainting along the upper and lower edges; two tiny spots of inpainting on the face of the right figure.
