Henry Cundell (English, 1810-1886) FIGURES ON A MOORLAND PATH signed with initials lower left; inscribed by a former owner on reverse watercolour over pencil on paper laid on board 15 by 23cm., 6 by 9in. Provenance: Given to Mr Hugh Thomson by Mr Wilfred Mowbray Cundell (inscription on reverse) An honorary exhibitor at the RA during the years 1838-58, Henry Cundell was a painter of landscapes mostly in Wales and his hometown of London.
