Henry Parke (London c.1792-1835)
A Royal Navy frigate in Mediterranean waters off Capri
signed and dated 'H. Parke. 1830' (lower right) and inscribed 'The high Rock at the East end of the Island of Capri./On the summit are some vestiges of an ancient Palace,/supposed to be that of the Emperor Tiberius (on a label attached to the mount)
pencil and watercolour with scratching out, on paper, unframed
6¾ x 10½ in. (17.2 x 26.7 cm.)
