Henry Towneley Green R.I. (1836-1899) "A Sussex Glade", young lady seated upon a fence Signed and dated "1875", inscribed with the title and the artist's name on the mount below, watercolour and gouache heightened with white, 15cm by 21.5cm The brother of Charles Green R.I. (1840-1898), exhibited from 1855 at the Royal Academy and the New Watercolour Society. Elected a full member of the New Watercolour Society in 1879 and worked as an illustrator. See illustration
