Hermann Koch "(Dmitz/Mecklenburg 1856-1939 Munich) View of the Chiemsee with blooming Cherry Trees, signed and inscribed Hermann Koch, Munich, label verso for the Cometer Gallery, Hamburg, Oil on plate, 53 x 70 cm, framed, (Rei)" Hermann Koch: His first artistic stimulation was provided by his father, Friedrich Koch. In 1875/77 he worked as a sculptor for August von Kreling at the Nuremberg School of Art and then in1877/82 as a painting student at the Munich Academy under Ludwig von Lfftz and Wilhelm von Lindenschmit. He settled in Munich and made his artistic debut at the Glass Palace in 1883. He also later exhibited at the Glass Palace in exhibitions of the Munich Artistic Association, of which he was a member."
