TERMS OF AUCTION

CONDITION & DESCRIPTIONS: All items are sold "as is". The auction house does not warranty authenticity on any specific piece. We can only offer our opinion and the material facts about the item. It is up to the buyer to determine authenticity before bidding and purchasing an item. If we state facts about jewelry such as gold content or weight, it is sold as fact. Carat weights and quality are approximate and to the best of our knowledge and may vary by appraiser. Measurements are in inches and are approximates but within reasonable margins. If we note restoration, repair, damage, or defect to a piece in the catalog, look it over for yourself and bid accordingly. We try to picture damage in the online listings. Please ask for additional condition reports about specific concerns or additional images of any damage you are unsure of. If there is a problem concerning condition the buyer must notify us immediately and return the item at their expense within 10 days. After the 10 day period, all items are considered to have been sold "as is, where is".

This 10 day policy applies to online purchases. In the case of the item being shipped by Uniques & Antiques: If the item is damaged in transit or has another undisclosed condition issue purchaser is required to notify Uniques & Antiques immediately upon receipt of shipped item. Acceptable notice is email, phone or fax. We will then arrange for return or insurance claim. Buyer agrees to cooperate fully in filing any insurance claim.

All items must be paid for within 7 days of the auction. After 7 days we will file a dispute against the buyer and online bidding with this provider may be disrupted. We will not remove a dispute until the item is paid in full.

Items shipped by outside shippers must be picked up within 14 days. Items left over 30 days will be resold, we will pay buyer proceeds minus 25% selling commission. Items left over 14 days incur a $5 per day storage and handling charge. Items will not be released until these storage fees are paid.

RESTRICTED ITEMS: It is the buyer's responsibility to abide by their local laws, including not bidding on or buying items that are restricted in their local area. We will not release a buyer from purchasing an item restricted in their area and disputes will be filed with the online bidding provider for non paying bidders.

REGISTRATION: Online bidders must have a credit card on file with the prevailing online auction service. The highest bidder shall be the buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auctioneer shall decide the buyer or immediately put the item up for sale again. In the case of on online buyer being awarded an item which was also awarded to a live in house bidder, the item is awarded to the in house bidder. Some lots are offered subject to reserve, which is a confidential minimum price below which such a lot will not be sold. The record of sale, kept by the auctioneer and clerk, will be taken as absolute and final in all disputes. BUYER'S PREMIUM: A buyer's premium of 25% of the hammer price shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. The total sales price is subject to applicable sales tax. Complete payment is required in cash(In House Only), acceptable check, Visa/Mastercard, or selected online payments (Paypal). In the case of online auction purchases, payment must be received within 7 business days. It is recommended that you use Overnight trackable method to make your payment.

REMOVAL: Items purchased may be removed once payment is made. Items are shipped within 5 days of receiving payment or clearance of check payment. SHIPPING: Items that are to be shipped will be subject to shipping and insurance charges. (See our shipping policy) These charges include insurance for the full purchase price, Packing, supplies and postage. Some items have fixed US shipping charges. Other items have variable charges depending on their bulk, and distance of travel. International shipping is expensive, please inquire about specific charges before bidding.

ABSENTEE BIDS: We offer the absentee bid service as a convenience to our patrons. We execute your bid as if you were in the audience, attempting to obtain the item at the lowest price. Uniques & Antiques Inc will not be held responsible for error or failure to execute any bid. These bids must be in writing or submitted electronically. Please bid using our preset increments listed on the catalog front page. Please keep in mind that because bid position can be unpredictable, it may be possible for someone at the auction, or another absentee bidder to buy the item for your top bid price. Bids of the same value from two or more bidders will be awarded to the bidder who placed their bid earliest. The auctioneers decision is final.

PERSONAL INFORMATION/ PRIVACY POLICY: We do not share our bidder information, addresses, email addresses or other personal information with anyone. We use your information to communicate with bidders regarding purchases and other auction business. By registering for this auction, we may put your email on our email notify list.

SALES TAX

6% PA Sales tax is collected on all items picked up at Uniques & Antiques by the buyer. Resellers can present their resale tax number and complete the required resale form and have this Sales tax waived. Items shipped out of state do not incur sales tax.
