HIRSCHELY Jan Kaspar (5. 1. 1695 Prague - 15. 1. 1743 Prague) Still life with insects and a flower Oil on wood, 35,5 x 26,5 cm, framed, undated, unsigned, provided with a laboratory report by Dorothea Pechova. Czech painter, he was influenced by the conception of still-life paintings by his teacher J. V. Angermayer. His work belongs to the period of early Rococo, he is known mainly for his floral still-life paintings rendered in very fine, subtle brush strokes typical of miniature painting.
