HIRSCHELY Jan Kaspar - attributed to 5. 1. 1695 Prague - 15. 1. 1743 Prague) Still-life with a kingfisher and a hoopoe Oil on canvas, 37,5 x 27,5 cm, framed, undated [circa 1730], unsigned, expertise by Mgr.Vladimir Rislink. Czech early Rococo painter, pupil of J. V. Angermayer, he is known for his floral still-life paintings corresponding to the period taste. He created mostly pair paintings of flowers in vases, from the view point of technique they are close to miniature paintings. See T 1/335, NECVU 1/261.
