On June 28, 2013 in London, the Phillips Day auction of contemporary art was held, at which the painter Anatoly Krivolap for the third time confirmed his status as the most expensive Ukrainian artist according to official sales results. His work is Horse. The evening was sold for $ 186,200 and became another record in Ukraine. Previously, experts at the Phillips auction house rated the work of Krivolap at £ 50,000 - 70,000 ($ 76,000 - 106,000), which also became a record - this is the highest estimate in the history of the participation of Ukrainian art in the international art market. Notes

Born September 11, 1946 in Yagotin. The first textbook on the painting of Anatoly was a faded pre-war book with drawing lessons, which he found in the library in Yagotin. In 1976 he graduated from the faculty of painting. The first collector of Krivolap’s works is the Polish collector Richard Wrublewski. From 1993 to 1995, Anatoly Krivolap actively participated in the activities of the “Picturesque Reserve”, known in the history of contemporary Ukrainian art by an art group . In the 2000s, he moved after constant scandals from Kiev to the village of Zasupoevka near Yagotin, where he currently lives and works. Anatoly Krivolap is considered the most “expensive” contemporary artist of Ukraine - in October 2011 at the auction at Phillips de Pury & Co in London, his work “The Horse. Night ”was sold for $ 124 343 , and the painting“ Horse. Evening »June 28, 2013 went under the hammer at auction Contemporary Art Day Phillips for 122.5 thousand pounds ($ 186,200) .
