Artist or Maker

Notes

The son of a carpenter, Huret began life as an engraver. In 1646 he was 'dessinateur et graveur de la maison du Roi', and eight years later set up his shop in Paris where he published many suites of engravings, many of religious subjects or portraits. This is his only work of theory.
