Signed lower left As noted in Vintage Illustration by Rick and Charlotte Martin, Hy Hintermeister was actually the pen name of the father-son team of John Henry Hintermeister and Henry Hintermeister. The two created calendar art and prints for nearly fifty years. The Martins write, "Like Norman Rockwell, the Hintermeisters excelled in situational or storytelling illustration."
