5 vols, oblong quarto (4 of these 200x300mm, and the other 200x270mm). 127 black and white photographs bound in concertina. The four vols of plates bound in original black cloth, upper covers blocked in blind and lettered in silver, the appendix volume as issued in the original printed wrappers, all laid in the original cloth case, reflective disc mounted on the upper side, the spine lettered in silver, original glassine dust-jacket, and original protective carton.

FIRST EDITION, A FINE COPY. One of 350 signed copies only, this one an artist's proof ('a.p'). A luxurious publication of Narahara's typology of the ancient arches, and their modern electric lighting, along St Mark's Square; one volume for each point on the compass, with the images bound in concertina to allow viewing of all the arches at once.
