Lot 113: Incredibly Carved Marble Children Sculpture

Impressive 20th century marble statue, almost life like in size depicting young children playing cards. This work similar to the well known painting "A Friend in Need" by C.M. Coolidge. The sliding of card to well his friend. Four children seated around a table. Statue was used in private residence rose garden, so signs of dirt, soil and signs of the outdoor element. Can easily be cleaned up should the winning bidder choose to do so. No found stamps or signature. See photos. Measuring approx. 45" L x 24" D x 25" tall.
