Oil/canvas, 61 x 121 cm, some rest., relined. - Dutch history a. figure painter. He began his training in the Amsterdam studio of A. van Spiers. In 1708 he went to Antwerp to finish it in the studio of J. van Hal. W. became master of the local guild in 1714. He returned to Amsterdam a. worked as a versatile painter.
