A Charming 18th Century Oil on Canvas: An agricultural scene depicting a lady & gentleman mounted on horseback to the fore overlooking workers gathering hay, with small groups of country folk; a boy with kestrel & dogs, a couple embracing, boys playing on haystack, farm-workers resting, figures bathing in river in the distance and workers loading hay onto a barge, with hills in the far distance below cloudy skies, 34½ins x 49 ins (88 cms x 125 cms). Set in a later cavetto moulded gilt frame with beaded and ribbon-twist strings, 41½ ins x 55½ ins (105 cms x 141 cms).*
