(1853-1930), "On Bidston Hill", signed, inscribed and signed on verso, watercolour over pencil, 21 x 29.5cm.; 8.25 x 11.5in. * Studied at Birmingham School of Art. Lived for many years in Liverpool. A most prolific painter with numerous examples shown at the Dudley Gallery London; the Walker Gallery Liverpool; the Royal Academy; the Royal Cambrian Academy and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
