Notes

Jason Seley received his Bachelor of Fine Art from Cornell University in 1940 and studied with Ossip Zadkine at the Art Students League from 1943 through 1945. In 1969 he received the Guggenheim award for sculpture. He taught at Cornell University for many years and served as dean of the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. His art is widely recognized for his use of found objects, particularly chrome bumpers, welded into tight compositional knots.
