A l’œil nu : Le tableau apparaît en bel état. Il est peint sur un panneau constitué d’une planche biseautée sur tous les côtés. Le panneau est parfaitement plan et stable. Au revers on remarque des anciennes traces d’insectes xylophages. On remarque quelques griffures superficielles dans le ciel, au niveau du vernis. On remarque des restaurations reprenant des frottages dus à un ancien cadre dans le bord supérieur droit, dans le coin inférieur gauche et dans le coin inférieur droit. On remarque aussi un trou d’insecte xylophage et un petit manque de matière (taille tête d’épingle) derrière les pates du dromadaire. A la lampe U.V. : Le tableau apparaît sous un vernis vert épais et homogène. On remarque les restaurations précédemment mentionnées sur les bords. Non encadré. To the naked eye: The painting appears in good condition. It is painted on a single piece of panel beveled on all sides. The panel is flat and stable with on its reverse some old traces of wood worm. Some superficial scratches in the sky area, probably just on top of the varnish layer. We notice some repaints due to the scrubbing of an old frame on the edges. We notice a little hole due to a wood insect and a very tiny paint loss (pinhead size) next to the dromedary back legs. Under U.V. light: The painting appears under a green and uniform varnish. We notice the restorations on the edges mentioned above. Offered unframed.
