After studying in the workshop of Steffeck in Berlin, Lulves went on to design and execute several large scale decoratative projects, most importantly that of the throne room in the Kremlin, and a ballroom for the Krauser bank in Berlin.
Lulves specialised in depicting 16th to 18th Century subjects, of which this is a fine example.
