*Jean-Thomas Thibault (1757-1826) a classical garden with a temple on the shore of a lake. Pen and brown ink, watercolor and gouache. 362 by 488mm. Jean-Thomas Thibault was both an architect and a landscape artist. In 1780 he was a student at the French Academy in Rome, where he stayed for many years. On his return to France he was involved in projects for the Imperial family.
