A wonderful loose and impressionistic composition on the rough side of the masonite. Some areas of the background and the sitter's collar and hair are left bare without paint, and the natural color of the masonite becomes part of the composition. The whole effect achieved is fresh and loose. The blue-green earrings echo the model's piercing blue eyes.
