Notes

Born in Toronto, Taylor studied art at the Central Technical School of Toronto, at the Ontario College of Art, and at the Art Students' League in New York City under George Bridgman. Her career included working in set design for the Hart House theater in Toronto; she also taught in the Department of Dramatic Art at New York University, and later at the Central Technical School. Taylor exhibited intermittently with the Royal Canadian Academy, with the Ontario Society of Artists and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour. Her work was also shown at the International Salon in Vichy, France. The artist often traveled to paint at various sites including Haliburton and Georgian Bay in Ontario, Gaspé and Saguenay in Quebec, as well as the Maritimes and New Mexico. Painting was original sold by Sarnia Public Library and Art Gallery
