William Wyndham of Dinton and Norrington was born 18th December 1769. He was the grandson of the judge Sir Wadham Wyndham of Norrington and served in the West Wiltshire Yeomanry. He married 3rd March 1794 Laetitia Popham (d.1837), daughter of Alexander Popham, a successful lawyer, by whom he had six sons and six daughters. They built and lived at Philipps House, Dinton, Near Salisbury. He died 19th September 1841.
