Description

John Campbell Phillips (American 1873-1949) Watercolor Gouache Seascape. Signed by the artist lower right. In frame with mat measures 21"x17.50"x1". Weight is 5 pds. John Campbell Phillips was a student of Benjamin Clinedinst, Henry Mowbray and William Chase at the Art Students League in New York. In 1914 he won a prize from the Salmagundi Club. His works are in museums and at the City Hall in New York. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate.
