Notes

Comerford records in his sitter's book that Lord Manners sat for him on 4th September, 1810. The portrait was engraved by Anthony Cardon (1772-1813) and published in 1811.
Thomas became a barrister and was appointed Solicitor-General of England in 1805. He was appointed Lord Chancellor of Ireland in 1807 and was created a peer the same year. He married 1stly on 4th November, 1803 Anne Copley, daughter of Sir Joseph Copley Bt, of Spotborough. She died 5th August, and he married 2ndly on 28th October, 1815, the Hon. Jane Butler, daughter of James Butler, 9th Lord Caher.
