NOTE

John Dillwyn Llewelyn is one of the leading names from the important early amateur period in Britain. He was married to Emma Thomasina Talbot, a first cousin of William Henry Fox Talbot. Their daughter Thereza, the subject of this photograph, was both an avid student of science and a keen photographic experimentor. In 1858 she married Nevil Story-Maskelyne, who was also a scientist and a photographer.
