A Gentleman, said to be Robert Dundas of Arniston (1758–1819), bust-length, profile to the left.
Plaster medallion in mid-relief on dark grey ground, signed on the truncation HENNING F. 1800, glazed and turned wood frame.
Oval, 74mm (2 15/16in) high

Dundas served as Solicitor General for Scotland between 1784 and 1789 and as Lord Advocate from 1789 to 1801. He sat as Member of Parliament for Edinburghshire (1790-1801) and was Chief Baron of the Exchequer in Scotland from 1801 until his death in 1819.
