OUR MISSION IS TO EXEMPLIFY THE CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND DEEP TRADITIONS OF CONNECTICUT ART AND USE IT TO ENCOURAGE YOUTH AND UPLIFT AND INSPIRE CREATIVE INTELLECT.

The Museum Of Culture and Arts was a dream of mine for many years. I want to start a museum that includes everyone. This museum will not be your ordinary museum. My focus is the people and their cultures that make up Connecticut. Everyone has something to offer.

All people since the beginning of time have created art. President Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address said "of the people, by the people, for the people". This term truly applies to this museum. Of the people is about the people and their culture who came before us, by the people is about the people who are creating and using this museum, for the people is about carrying this forward for future generations.

I found the perfect building. It exemplifies culture and art of Middletown. This building was built in 1904 by immigrants of Melilli, Sicily. It was built for the Giuseppe Garibaldi Mutual Benefit Society. This building was a central focal point for Sicilians emigrating from Sicily. The Giuseppe Garibaldi Mutual Benefit Society helped Sicilians assimilate to Middletown, Connecticut and their new home in America. The building consists of three floors. The three floors have a total of 18,400 square feet. It has a stage on the second floor which is suitable for theatre plays, singing or dance recitals.. The building needs total restoration to make it usable as a museum, and for its usage as a place of creative endeavors.

We are going to have art shows. scholarships will be given to deserving students.

Your support is vital for this museum to go forward. It is a not for profit charity with a 501{c}{3} designation. All charitable gifts are tax deductible. Your donations can help restore the building as well as create an artistic environment. Financial support is crucial. Consider what this museum would mean to you, your family and the community. The shoreline in Middletown is going to be developed. This museum will be an important part of this town and central to its development.

Please help us with your donations. Your donations are 100% tax deductible You can visit our website for more information. Together we can make the Museum of Culture and Arts, Inc. meet the goals to create a better future for the community. Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Dennis R, Carroll
