Apparently Neill used the Pierpont Morgan Library as the locale of this picture. He has added in pencil in the lower margin: "Note--MSS. says beard on 'young man'--and gate bars." Neither appear in the picture; Neill seems to have shaved the gentleman's face. The frame too was removed.
