John Ridgewell (b.1937) ? "The Coach House and Yard, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk" Signed, oil on canvas, 46cm by 58.5cm The artist was born at Halstead, Essex, and studied at Colchester School of Art 1954-1958, and the Royal College of Art 1958-1961. He taught at Scarborough School of Art 1961-66. His English landscapes are meticulously depicted but with the occasional unusual feature or view point. From the late 1980's the artist concentrated on commissioned work.
