Joseph Keppler Lithograph Puck: Senator Roscoe Conkling Resigns Political Caricature 1881: A beautiful lithograph from 1881 and the magazine Puck. This is a lithograph from Mayer Merkel and Ottman Lithography, of a political caricature from joseph Keppler. Keppler was the co-founder and art director of Puck. Considered the successor to Thomas Nast as one of the greatest political cartoonist of the 19th century. This lithograph is the resigning of Republican Senator Roscoe Conkling, while other senators dance around his balloon hot air. Wonderful colors, nicely matted and framed. Measures 19x26.
