Oil on canvas cover illustration for the American Weekly featuring Ruth from the woman in the Bible series. Illustration shows Ruth leaning down gathering grasses while in back men and oxen barter and work. Signed lower right "Joseph Watson Little". Housed in a fancy white and gilt gesso decorated frame. Accompanying lot is a similarly framed print proof for the cover of the American Weekly.
