A Crowned Mythological Goddess signed and dated 'J.BONNAFFE 1861' (on the base) marble height: 591/2 in. (151 cm.) Executed in 1861 PROVENANCE Mama Leoni's Family Restaurant, New York. NOTES Bonnaff‚ worked in Le Hƒvre as well as in Passy and he exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon between 1848 and 1878. The present work was located at the Mama Leoni's Family restaurant in New York City welcoming guests for as long as the restaurant existed.
