(3) NOTES Most well-known for his street scenes depicting street vendors in St. Petersburg. It appears that in these three pictures, Kollman copied the most well-known lithographs produced by Aleksandr Ossipovich Orlovskii (1777-1838). Orlovskii was one of the first artists to produce lighographs in Russia from everyday life as well as the various types of Nomadic tribesmen that he encountered during his extensive travels through Russia.
