Kim Nampyo was born in Seoul and received his MFA from Seoul National University in 2006. He had his first one-person exhibition at the Woonggeun Gallery, Seoul, in 1999. He also had one-person exhibitions at the Gallery Hyundai, Seoul, in 2007; Canvas International Gallery, Amsterdam, in 2007; and at the Gallery Ihn, Seoul, in 2008.
