Lot 330: Kimura Buzan (1875-1942) and Kado, early 20th century

Two folding fans, ougi-e, each painted in ink and colour; the first by Buzan, decorated with irises against a gold-paper ground on one side and a bat on a silver ground on the reverse, signed Buzan with seal Buzan; the other decorated on gold-paper ground with cherry blossoms on one side and kikyo on the other, signed Kado with seal Kado, the guards and struts of both fans of roiro; the first with tomobako titled and signed by the artist Buzan with seal Kimura Buzan. Both 54.5cm (21½in) wide. (3).
