Visit of their Excellencies Lord and Lady Lansdowne to Hyderabad (Deccan,) 1892. Album of 38 albumen prints. The majority approximately 71/2 x 11 in. (19.3 x 28.1 cm.), 7 smaller, varying in size to approximately 5 x 71/4 in. (12.5 x 18.6 cm.). The majority numbered in the negatives, numbered title labels, dark blue leather, titled and with photographer's credit L l Deen Dayal, State Photographer in gilt on front cover, g.e. Album size: 13 3/8 x 183/4 in. (34 x 47.6 cm.) NOTES The album opens with a group showing Lord Lansdowne and party at the Residency, followed by the Viceroy's visit to 'Nawab Khoorshed Jah Bahadur at Lingampully' and a series of eleven photographs of the Secunderabad Review; other photographs include four celebrating Lord Lansdowne's visit to the Afzal Ganj Hospital; six of the Viceregal visit to Mir Alum including the waterfall, the Tank and a cruise on the lake; a cheeta hunt; sports including polo at 'Malukpett'; a visit to the 'Faluknama Palace'; the Residency at 'Chudderghaut'; and seven welcome arches decorated for the Viceregal visitors.
