Lot 3111: Landscape, O/P

Landscape, oil on wood panel, signed Feodor Vasilyev (Russian, 1850-1873) and dated 1869 lower right, framed, 8"h x 18 3/4"w (sight), 15 1/2"h x 26 1/8"w (frame). One 5 1/2"horizontal partial panel separation lower left which does not extend through the panel, some paint shrinkage in sky. Two reports in Cyrillic accompany this lot: one from Lubouvoluchyn - The Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv detailing stylistic analysis of the painting, one from the National Educational and Research Center of Ukraine Lviv chapter detailing chemical analysis of the painting.
