Lang (M. Craig, exh. 1897-1913). 'Her Debut Performance', oil on canvas, depicting a young ballerina in red dress, on stage receiving applause, signed and dated 1910, 60 x 45 cm (23.5 x 17.75 ins), contemp. gilt frame (a little damaged), glazed We believe this to be the work of Marion C. Lang, listed in Johnson and Greutzner's Dictionary of British Artists 1880-1940, with an address at Milnbank House, Milnbank, Glasgow. She exhibited three times at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, with a watercolour entitled 'His First Attempt' in 1897, and another titled 'Ready for Halloween', in 1901, and also at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, in 1913.
